Love and Logic

I have read the book Jane Knight recommended for our rules and consequences called "Love and Logic." It is WONDERFUL!!! Ashley you will love it :) Jane said most Leader in Me schools use Love and Logic as well. However, the book recommends not pressuring the staff into this approach. Palmer also has read the book and loves it! Please try and read it so we can get together and see how we can implement it next year. The book is called "Creating Classrooms Where Teachers Love to Teach" and "Teaching with Love and Logic". You may borrow mine if needed.

Vision Statement

Our school vision statement- To become a lighthouse school for the county.
Our student vision- To find the Leader in each child.
We could say discover, or even student instead of child...

Amy is great at this so I am pretty much counting on you :)

Rules and Consequences

I have emailed Jane Knight asking her input on Rules and Consequences. I will let you know what I hear. I also like the Level (0-4) that Sara A. shared with us. I do agree that we need to know what to do with "that kid" that needs a little more. Give your thoughts and maybe we can come up with some conclusions.

Pep-Rally

On the first day of school, we have discussed having a pep-rally for the kids and parents to introduce the 7 habits. We need to get this organized as well. So what are your thoughts and ideas??

Mission and Goals

What is our overall goal? We need to have the end in mind. What all do we want to accomplish and in what time frames. This can be broad to specific. This one is very important and we need to get this one down perfectly before we present.

Environment

We need to brainstorm ideas for how we are going to make our school's environment "A Leader in Me" envirnoment. Let's throw out ideas and expectations for the beginning of school.

Hey Gang! I am not sure how easy this will be for us, but we can give it a try. Here is our blog page. Let's post ideas for the beginning of the year and brainstorm our ideas here.
